Driffield showground in gearing up to welcome the New Generation
Robert Brothers Circus to town.
The Robert Brothers Circus has been touring the country for the
past 60 years. For the last eight years it has presented the
Easter Circus and the Circus World Championships for the BBC.
Carolyn Roberts said: "This is a show that will appeal to family
members of all ages. It provides a glimpse of the fascinating
world of the circus as it has been presented for nearly 300 years.
To stand a chance of winning a pair of tickets answer the

Excitement began mounting in Driffied the week as the Robert
Brothers Circus big top took shape on the showground.
Circus performers from all over the world are travelling the
country with the circus, which is enjoying its first ever
visit to the town.
About 20 stars including clowns, trapeze artists, jugglers,
knife throwers and fire eaters are involved in the circus,
which held its opening night in Driffield on Wednesday.
Steel the horse also stars in the show, and has the important
role of opening the show with an impressive dressage display.
Steel is accompanied on his travels with the circus by cheeky
Shetland pony Frosty, who was brought in to keep him company.
Claire Davidson (Driffield Post reporter) talked with clown
Chico Rico, 32, from Mexico, who is enjoying his first season
with the Robert Brothers Circus.
He has taken part in circus acts all over Europe and is the
fifth generation in his family to choose the circus as a career.
He has 3 young daughters who travel with him, along with wife Cathy.
Karl Orry has been with the Robert Brothers Circus as a
knife thrower since November and has a lifetime's worth
of circus experience.

Circus acts will be clowning around at the heated big top in
Rugby until the weekend.
The Robert Brothers Travelling road show has set up camp at
the Rugby United FC ground in Butlin Road.
The animal-free attraction, which runs until Sunday, includes
trapeze artists, magicians, hula hoops, foot juggling and of
course, clowns.
